Museu Serralves ganhou o « Peers Award » 2007

A Fundação de Serralves acabou de ganhar o prémio dos Pares, um prémio internacional para os melhores trabalhos de comunicação de museus e galerias de arte promovido pela International Museum Communication Awards (IMCA).

A Fundação de Serralves concorreu ao IMCA com a campanha de divulgação da exposição de Katharina Grosse, que esteve patente no Museu de Serralves de Abril a Julho deste ano. Grosse é uma jovem artista alemã que usa sprays coloridos e pinta profusamente os espaços onde expõe, inundando de cor paredes, chão e tecto.

A campanha agora nomeada para o IMCA, inteiramente desenvolvida pelo Gabinete de Imagem e Divulgação de Serralves, inspirou-se no trabalho de Katharina Grosse e teve como base cartazes brancos, que depois de colados nas ruas foram pintados com tinta em spray.

The jury felt that this campaign (Face of fashion) was very well executed with high impact and strong ‘stand out’. The Jury was extremely impressed by its elegance, strong use of typography and arresting use of images. An excellent exhibition campaign.

Title of campaign: 2006 Beaufort Shore Hosts Art

The Jury was very impressed with the originality and bravery of this campaign (2006 Beaufort). It successfully opens up contemporary art to a wider public and provides a clear and accessible way in to contemporary culture. It is strong, arresting and totally convincing.

Max Planck Institute of History of Science, Berlin (Germany)
Title of campaign: Albert Einstein Ingenieur des Universums

This is a solid, multi-layed yet coherent campaign (Albert Einstein). With strong use of images and type, it successfully demystifies the subject. Strong, clear and beautifully executed.

CORPORATE DESIGN CATEGORY

Golden Award
MUDAM, Luxembourg (Luxembourg)
Title of campaign: Can’t Wait, Opening Mudam Luxembourg

The Jury felt that this is a sensational campaign (Can’t wait). It is immediately arresting with fantastic use of type and images. It transforms the traditional nature of a campaign and turns it into something exotic and interesting. Beautifully produced, strong, punchy and fabulous.

Rotterdam 2007 City of Architecture, Rotterdam (Netherlands)
Title of campaign: Rotterdam 2007 City of architecture 2007

This beautiful campaign (Rotterdam) is simple, bold and crystal-cool! The Jury was very impressed by its restraint which only adds to its overall impact. Sexy and elegant.

Bronze Award
Palais de Tokyo, Paris (France)
Title of campaign: visual identity 2001-2006: « tokyo palace » typeface.

Chic, sexy and very French, this identity is a lesson in refinement, simplicity and playfullness.

INTEGRATION CATEGORY

Special Prize
Southbank Centre, London (United Kingdom)
Title of campaign: Southbank Centre Corporate Design

A strong corporate identity which has been professionally and successfully managed across all materials. Arresting, playful, provocative and distinctly urban.

INOVATION CATEGORY

Special Prize
MuseumsQuartier Vienna (Austria)
Title of campaign: « Mq Man » – Campaign

The Jury loved the use of playful photography and interesting graphics which made for a striking and innovative campaign. Great use of imagery and quirky text made the campaign communicate to a young audience.
